Ouch - did you see the test of the new E60 M5? They tested it as slightly slower than the SL55 around the 'ring, and 0-124-0 MPH. In fairness, it was slightly quicker around Hockenheim.

no actually not many cars ever break the 8 minute mark at the ring. Its a 14 mile track with an average of 11 turns per mile. The E55 ran an 830 somethingi think. Infact the Carrera GT i believe holds the production car record at 7:26, i dont count the radicals 718 or 716 because its not really a production street car.

Son -
Let's talk apples and oranges here.
Benz or AMG - bought for the class, Quality (ehh hmm), performance w/ everything you can ask for in a package deal...
Mustang - Very-Modable drive train, good in a straight line, rattles and no comfort... essentially a drag car IMO.
Now if you want to say "Muscle to Muscle" I have a "slightly" modded 02' Z06 sitting in my garage that would certainly out class, style, handle, accelerate and over-all perform with pushrod muscle. Wanna give it a whirl? Oh yeah - The Z06 isn't a benz - harsh ride, classic plastic american interior, Lots of american muscle. My Benz My Z06 - Apples and oranges; Your Mustang Our Benz's/AMG's - Apples and oranges.
BTW - If you see a black ZO6 coming up behind you fast - find the right lane please. I'll move over if I am in my CLK for you.

I will say, though, that the odds would definitely be in the Enzo's favor. Look at the following road tests from Road & Track:
Road test data for Enzo:
Road test data for Carrera GT:
Four facts which stand out are:
1) the Enzo is faster;
2) the Enzo is 300 pounds lighter;
3) the Enzo's slalom speed is nearly 2 mph faster, and its lateral grip is slightly higher;
4) the Enzo's braking distances are *much* shorter.
300 pounds is a **lot** of weight to be giving up on a racetrack. Add the braking, acceleration, and slalom numbers to this, and frankly, I wouldn't bet on the Porsche if/when AMS tests the Ferrari.

Heh. How modded is it -- trapping in the 130s?

I drive a Ford.
I drive a Benz.
I tend to think that I get more....'pleasurable action' from the opposite sex from the car im driving too
So pretty much in the end, Im still driving a Benz and your driving a Ford, I wouldn't care if you car is faster then ours, we can always make it faster then yours.
'man with the most money always wins'
And also, when my cars odometer is rolling past 200.000miles yours would already be stripped down and parted out for any 'usefull' parts probably about 100.000miles ago.
