1999 C43 vs 1994 300ZX TT (modded)

Well, yesterday I was stupid enough to race my friends friend. He has intake, exhaust, downpipes, straitpipe, etc. He is considered like stage 3 I believe. Anyways, we raced from a rolling start and he immeadiately gets the jump on me. He is about 2 cars ahead the whole time from 20 mph to 120 mph.

Second we do a quarter mile run. He spins his tires and I get a 2-3 car lead. He plays catch up and by the end of the quarter mile he catches me and passes me. But if it was a track I think I might have gotten the win. Regardless his car is very fast. Faster than my car.

Don't feel too bad, brabus. Your C43 is still a VERY FAST CAR.
Remember though, Z's are not really a drag car, their ANTI-SQUAT suspension makes it VERY HARD to launch. 300Z's are built for high speeds- with stock gearing, Turbo Z's can go up to 191 mph(with alot of mods of course)
Here's the formula:
(mph)(gear ratio)(336) = (tire diameter in inches)(rpm)

Now since we dont want to measure our 4th gear which is 1 to 1 we want our 5th which is .75. So you take your 7200rpm/.75 and you get 9600. Use that as your rpm and that will figure in the .75 5th gear ratio.

Gear Ratio = 3.692
Tire Diam. = 24.68in
RPM = 9600
MPH = ?

So:
X(3.692)(336)=(24.68)(9600)

X=[(24.68)(9600)]/[(3.692)(336)]
X=(236928)/(1240.512)
X=190.992

In 91 Blitz and Jun built a Z for the saltflats and they hit 261 mph. Which is an import record that still stands. Jun tried to beat their own record last year in their Pupra, but could only get to 243.

Also in Japan, there's a guy that has a Z that can hit 216mph(he is running twin HKS 3037GT ball bearing turbos with a GREX 6 speed tranny) And here's the scary part- car is streetable and driven daily!!!!

Crazy Z
