E430 Vs Miata M
Not a big story, since it's obvious who the winner was. but I figure I tell the story anyway. I was on the 57 Fwy near San Dimas. Going up the hill. I cut several lanes over, from the slow lane. I guess I pissed off this cool guy with a Miata M.
I can see him cursing at me in my rear view mirror, and I think he was trying to pass me going up the hill. At this point, I'm thinking to myself...."Should I?". With out any hestitation I speed up the pace a bit. By the time we hit the apex of the hill we were doing 110mph. He was maybe 3-4 cars behind.
During this whole time going up this hill, he was trying to pass me on the other lane. However it wasn't successful.
As we speed down the hill we are now doing 130mph. I decided I would give the poor man a chance, so I brake several times. He finally caught up to me. I looked over laughing, but he wouldn't look at me , instead he passes me. But he was sure cool looking with his top down, and sun glasses .
As he zoom pass me at 80mphs, I slightly pressed down on the gas pedal, I passed him at 110 with great ease. Once we near the 57 North to the 210 West interchange I was doing about 135, while he's about 10 cars lenght behind, cutting through traffic.
I think at this point he thought it was a lost hope. As soon as the 57 N and 210 merged, he took the first exit. Which I completely passed, because I was doing 130s.
That was the end of the "race". Pretty exciting.....

white and whiter
i used to drive the 57 N & S (the section between 10 and 60) daily during the junior&senior years in high school. i drove the 2000 328CI back then. there are a lot of jerks on that section of the fwy (myself included )
the section is pretty smooth. i can get up to about 115 mph when there are less traffic and there is always ppl in their hondas and mitsubishies waiting to race you.
of course now when i drive that section they would just be road kills behind my C32 but ppl don't race me that often now....wonder why?

Actually there is ALWAYS a cop near that area. They usually hang out on the on-ramp of the same exit for Raging Waters...forgot the name of that on-ramp/exit.... Could be La Verne...anyways, thanks for the heads up.
