If you do go to the track ask the officials if you can run with the domestic cars. Usually atleast at the track where i go to, the imports are all rice burners that wouldnt even be worth the gas of an E320 let alone a 55. The domestics usually are running 13s 12, the ricers run around 17, 18. If you do have to run imports atleast you can pratice your timing.

Nahhh, the thing is, you have to find something worthy of pushing the go pedal down on, to begin with. When that happens, get next to him/her at the first available light. Next, look over and make eye contact. Then laugh. That's right, laugh. Make sure they know you're laughing at their car. I will guarantee my next paycheck against yours, they WILL go for it. Never fails.

Or you could go....That ****s Mad Tight Yo and wear a backwards hat, and some black nerdy glasses. With Camoflauge shirt and jeans and those Addidas, or those vans all white shoes. You will get races i promise that way. Be like hey yo that civic is mad tight B-Money. You wanna run that **** or what. Before the race say....Win or loose this is how this car was meant to be driven.

Make it worth it
I usually auto-X my car, but if you decide to road race, make sure it's worth it.
Especially in my area (NC) the cops are fierce. Make sure the race is somewhat worth the possible ticket (if it ever really is).
I always have some kind of Neon or Civic try to race me. Even if the car is a sleeper, I don't have any emotional gain in beating a Civic, etc. Thus, it is not worth the ticket.
That's just my opinion, but I recommend what everyone is saying about tracking your car. I find it's just more fun and the drivers are better/safer (that's starting to change, though).

Wonder what would happen if Gid_E meet up with Treynor in Cali? Talk about a match huh Gid_E?

I'll be in Denver in August for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Otherwise, I'd lobby for So Cal. BTW, I met Barry Meguiar at the Amelia Island Concours in FL a couple years ago....he's C-E-R-T-I-F-I-A-B-L-Y Car Crazy

I have yet to race anyone.
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS I CAN DO TO ENCOURAGE A RACE?
Much thanks for all ideas.
