BAS ESP ETS ABS lights and brake assit pump running on

Hello,

We have a 2000 (W163) and we're having serious issues with power loss and now what appears to be an aux. brake booster pump running on after we turn the vehicle off. It's also making serious noises both while drive and at an idle. The ESP ETS ABS dash lights are also on. This has been an intermittent issue that appears to be getting worse.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm mechanically inclined and capable of fixing the problem if I can get some sage direction as to the issue at hand.

20 minutes later and the aux. brake pump is still running

Our 2000 ML 320 is in need of some serious love. It's 20 minutes later and what appearx to be an aux. brake booster pump is still running. Assistance is greatly appreciated.

brake assist pumping running after engine is off - fix

The problem may be a caused by the relay switch in the (fuse box). I had the same problem where the ets, bas, and abs lights would go on and the brake pump would be pumping/pulsing. jI even had a situation where I shut the engine and the pump would be pulsing constantly without stopping.
I was about unplug the battery, but instead I pulled out the relay switch and replaced it with a new one ($20) and no more problems.

The relay switch that you need to pull out is the ets/bas switch.
