Ok...I have had no problems with my 99 ml430 . I have noticed a ticking when I floor the accelerator. I know the fuel injectors tick but Im thinkn an exhaust leak ...or lifters?? It can only be heard on hard acceleration so I dont do that to much but im wondering if its a sign of the cats. the sound seems to be from the drivers side.
During normal driving all is ok. ....Im leaning alittle towards exhaust mini hole.
I may want to say to that it feels like im not as quick at the start.......
I did add a stillen stainless steel muffler and duels out the rear. any idea anybody.
....Im also wondering what the top speed of this model ml is . I was under the impression that it was 130mph but i can get past 118. gov. limited. how can this be increased?

The Ticking Is Coming From The Exhaust Manifold Gasket. I Had The Same Problem. Got It Fixed. Expensive Job For A Little Part.

was a bad weld on cats..got fixed for a benjamin.
