![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Does anyone have information on ML 2003 prices and equipment/design changes? Will be placing a order next week for a ML320. Dealer claims he has no info on 2003 prices or changes from 2002 ML's. THANKS

When I ordered my 02 ML500 my dealer did not have anything other than the base price and the options list without pricing. The deal I made was to pay the new base price less a discount and to have all the options at the 2001 price which was known. Worked out well

I have read that the Nav system would be upgraded to DVD. Presumably, the US and Canada would fit on one disk.
No mention of the price diff, or what the DVD to replace the current CD collection would be priced at.

There's a ML350 CDI Diesel slated for launch in late October. I'm told it will be available only in certain areas, but not in California. Will post as I receive more reliable info. ...RAB

2002 ML320
I've read about the ML350, but haven't heard anything about it coming to the US. I doubt it will actually make it over in this generation of ML's - for the same reason that the ML270CDI never came here.
Most people in the US are afraid of diesel and the word evokes the thought of huge, noisy 18-wheelers in most people here. They are not aware of the clean and quiet diesels that are sold abroad in passenger cars. Plus in Europe, etc. where the diesel MB's are sold, diesel is usually cheaper than gas, but not here in the US.

Diesels
RAB is right. Disregard my post just below. I stand corrected! Thanks.
My orginal post:
M-B doesn't bring in diesels to the USA currently because they can't -- M-B diesels don't meet our current emissions standards for diesel engines. M-B is working on it. M-B diesels will probably start showing up again in the future.

Re: Diesels
I'm told by M-B technical people the reason is much different. Actually, M-B doesn't want to expose their diesel engines to the short and long term engine degradation caused by the exceptionally poor qualify of diesel fuel were produce the USA. When we get our sulfur content down to International levels of acceptance, you will see the return of many of the very excellent M-B diesels engines. ...RAB![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

MBSpy reports that diesels could come back to the US for '04 model years.
No word on the MClass, but they were talking about the E 270 CDI.
Anybody:
Why would MB come up with a CDI 350 when a CDI 270 and CDI 400 are already in production?
The ML 400 CDI has perfs very close to our ML 500.
