2000 ML430 battery dead!
went up to niagara falls for 4 days, so i did not drive the vehicle for 4 days. It rained in the northeast like cats and dogs while i was gone,.. but up there.. beautiful. anyway, came home and
tried to open the doors with the remote and NOTHING!
what...
BTW this 00 only has 9000 miles on it.
so the only thing i can tell is it sat for 4 days without being touched, and the battery died! Mercedes came out and put in brand spanking new battery...
the tech said he sees this all the time.
he also mentioned the rear passenger window being another
problem (which i have not seen.. hope i never do)
so has anyone seen this, the battery dies after a period of non-use?

Funny thing is at the weekend we saw another ML having its battery replaced while we were down at the stores.....
Made sure when we had our battery replaced it was with a genuine German made unit.

I also read in many long term tests from magazines about batteries expiring within 12 months. So, I guess this is not unusual.
that makes a lot of and i will go out right now and turn them off.... however when i think about it is nice to have that feature especially when you are in an area, like timf was talking about.
but i will do that now...
thanx again for your tip..
