Hit a bump on freeway and car stops
My 18 month old 350ML has absolutely stopped on me about 8 times. It only happens on the freeway when I"m doing around 65mph. I hit a bump in the road, its usually just uneven asphalt. The car loses all power. The dash board lights are on. I have to coast to the shoulder, turn the car off, then restart the ignition. It has always restarted. Its back at the service center...AGAIN. They're driving it around attempting to duplicate "my issue".
Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts?

Robin, ur lucky man, about the same time, i have a 03 ML500, slow speeds from 20-50, higher speed 60 and up, my car stopped, like you said, everything shut off, in my car, EVERYTHING SHUT OFF, no lights, no dash lights NOTHING! and I thought maybe it was the keys, the dealer replaced the ignition and key mount and it happend oever and over agian, this happend more than 10 times, and till this day, im buggn the client relations manager about it, and they dont do ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING! It's a dangerous act! and i also mailed into MBUSA, nothing done, sometimes I hate my ML! and one other thing, the tranny mount broke, motor mount broke and Gear shift stick gives a "tick" sound a split second before stop, does urs!???
