Vehicle Height
My wife's new E class is in for its post delivery inspection and she was given an 05 ML350 Special Edition loaner. She complained that the loaner was difficult to get in and out of. Had never complained about my 02 ML500. I dismissed her complaint as I thought the runnung boards were causing her problem. When I got home and my ML was parked next to the loaner I noticed that the loaner was about an inch higher than mine. This was noticed with the mirrors and the roof line. Tire size is the same diameter. Whats the story here?? Have they changed the suspension or something else since 02??

I notice exactly the same thing when I pull my Ml55 along side a non AMG ml, they seem higher than my Ml, most likely due to tires/ suspension. Although I believe that the Ml500 has the same suspension as the Ml55.. but the 350/320 is definitly taller.

from what I understand the ML500 and 55 should have everything identical except for the 18s as far as the suspension goes. I dont know how old the ML350 your wife had but maybe it hadnt settled yet? thats a long shot but a possibility none the less
