In my ML55 I have a factory Mercedes-benz LCD screen in the rear, unfortunately it is hooked up to a VCR, I took out the VCR only to find out that there are 'special' MB connections to it, as in a weird powersource wires and a different AV connection, does MB sell dvd players? or is there an aftermarket brand that connects to these wires?

Hey.. I have the entertainment option in my ML500. I have both the vcr and the dvd unit. I don't think that harness will fit onto the MB dvd player. Its a little different. The dvd can be found, but you have to search very hard. They usually run about 1000. for them. I know you could probably put in a clarion unit in or whatever. BUT, you'll have to run a harness from the dvd unit to the head unit...which isn't a fun time.

These are the pictures I was able to take of the VCR, I had enought battery life on the camera for 3 pics.
They are a bit blurry, cheap digital camera =/

the plug on the right is a pretty standard plug... has power has ground and has ignition... Most of the after market DVD players and VCPs we have sold at best buy over the years has that plug... problem is the din cable to the left of it is a model(or brand) specific plug, it looks like you can however add another video source to that same screen using the Yellow(video) and Red and white(audio) RCA inputs on the back of the VCR
