Chattering sound from A/C vents...

Chattering sound from A/C vents...

This summer, I have started to hear some chattering sound from the center A/C vents..does anyone know what this could be?

I am suspecting a stuck dry leaf or something of that sort...but to confirm that I need to access the fan, does anyone know how to get to the fans behind the vents?

i have a chatter also but it is not leaves. does yours change with the fan speed?

I have this only on high. I turn it down to 3 and it goes away. I am not too worried or I would have looked into it more.

Yes, mine changes with fan speed too...

And also it goes away after a while....it only does it on a cold start when set to anything above speed 1.

It'll go away after about 5-7 minutes of running...It also started occuring only recently, this summer in the last 1K miles or so..I have 80K miles on the ML...

What is it, anyways? Does anyone know?
