Something I absolutely love
2004.1, I had to ask the dealer for it and my car was a 2004 and came with the 2002.2 DVD!

Question Navigation Version

I installed a DVD Nav system in our 2001 ML a few months ago and was told I was getting the latest version for 2005 which trurned out to be Version 2001.4 -- looks like that may be the latest.

That is the DVD version 2005.1, the latest CD version remains 2004.1 correct?

Any idea when 2005.1 CD will be released?

No. You can call the Navteq folks to find out if there's a newer one for the W164 already.

Just called and they have a 2005.1 for the '06 ML available. 2 day shipping for a whopping $275. Is purchase from the dealer cheaper or recommended?

According to dealers, CDs and DVDs are all priced the same now at $275 + tax and/or freight.

Yep, my dealer wanted $275 for "whole set" ! I guess he forgot that the DVD version is one disc.

Bringing this back to the top-

Who has the best source for the new disc, or do I really have to go pay $275 for this at the dealer?
