2003 ML500 CD Changer
I have a 2003 ML500 and didn't get the CD changer. I'd like to now add one in, but I want to do it myself because it doesn't seem very hard and it'll be a lot cheaper.
I know that with the 2003's the CD changer has to be a fiber optic one. I've found the mounting location at the rear right side of the trunk, but can't seem to find the fiber optic cables themselves. Can anybody show me a picture of what they look like or tell me how to find them back there?

you need to go to the dealer and get the CD changer kit and get it activated. i would let the dealer do it for you since when they installed it on my 02 ML they broke the fiberoptic cable and had to replace that and i understand that cost a lot to replace cuse they have to take out seats and stuff and its very labor intensive so to be safe i would let them do it. but if your a true DIY then you still need to get the Kit from your dealer just call the parts deparment and tell them you want to add a CD player to your car and ask them to have the parts ready but i think you still need the dealer to activate it with the computer.
