Angry Mobil 1 0-40 Availability

Other than the MB dealer, does anyone know where I can get Mobil 1 0-40? My dealer gets almost $8.00 a quart and I think that is way out of line?

Even the stealer here in Scottsdale AZ charges only $5.50.. ask the sales manager there to lay down the crack pipe and look at his pricing again. Heck, I can get Amsoil Series 2000 at full retail for $8.35! or Mobil 1 Delvac (my choice for Diesel) for $6.50/ qt!

sheesh..

anyway.. $4.95

I just changed the oil in my ml430 two weeks ago. The 0w40 was not easy to find. Everybody seems to have the Mobil1 5w30, but not the 0w40. I found 10 quarts at Autozone here in Manassas, I bought 9 of them @ $5.49/qt. They also had the oil filter kit there for $10.50.

Hey 2mbusa, I am in Miami, FL. I can usually get Mobil 1 0W-40 at WalMart for about $4.50 to $5 per quart. The local Autozone usually carries it for about $5.50 per quart. I never find it at Pepboys or Discount Auto Parts. The 0W-40 is not as readily available as the other more common motor oil weights. I stock up when I find it.

But I am in a big city and your signature says you are on an island in Washington State. Have you checked to see online how much it would cost? Shipping may be expensive because of the weight. Do you ferry your vehicle to the mainland US or Canada and travel to any bigger cities where there may be more availability?

I just typed 0w40 on Google and here's a vendor HARPworld. Their offer is $6.15/quart or $69.95 for the 12 pack. Do a search and you may find even cheaper offerings.

These guys FMA seem to sell them even cheaper!!

The Porsche fellas get it here at $4.50/quart.

I think you have enough to start.
