got some new tires for the truck today!!

And I'm glad I did. It kind of changes the cars dynamics. I replaced the General Grabbers S/T, which were really decent tires btw, with 4 new Michellin Cross Terrains. I read all the information here and on tirerack and decided to go with the Michellins because it snows where I live, and have heard these are better. Anyways, after 100miles I've gotta say they're really good. The ride is quiet, meaning I only hear the engine and the wind rushing by, and the ride is generally better, so overall I'm happy!! Hopefully they'll last 50,000miles, if not 65k...I paid $750 at NTB, also got the road hazard warranty. I got one question. I asked the guy if I could get some bigger tires (270/65/16) than OEM, but he said it would rub and throw the turning and esp off? Is that right? I saw a picture of an 99ml320 with 2756516 and they seemed to fit perfect...the guy said they were fine...so I don't know? I might go back and tell them to put the bigger ones, but want to wait till I get your opinions. So let me know what would work. Pics will be up later.

I switched to Michellins from the OEM Dunlops...

On my 00 320

I paid about $700 at Costco last summer, and have put about 5000 miles on them...no denying...the ride on the Michellins is far more quiet and smooth...compared to the Dunlops...and coincidently I switched jobs this year, which requires me to drive in snow for some time of the year, so the switch to Michellins couldn't have been timed any better...
