when you mean trip computer do you want the milage traveled? if you want that you can simply press and hold your odometer button and it will reset it back to 0. but if you are referring to the trip computer found on newer 02MLs that is located next to the map lights you should see a screen that turns on when you start your car it will be an LCD display. if you have a pre 02 ML chances are you dont have the trip computer with the LCD display that tells you MPG time and distance ext. i think i have seen MLs that dont have this upgrade and i think it was a very easy DIY. i posted a picture of what the LCD trip computer looks like i got it off ebay and couldn't find a good shot of one without a trip computer i would take one but someone is borrowing my camera.
