Hit and run

I was parked on the side of a street and some guy driving an old surburban slammed into the back of my car. I was inside a restaurant when it happened and someone came and got me to tell me what had happened. The guy who hit me took the time to say sorry and then gave me his information. He then ran to his car and took off. A cop showed up a minute later and went to try and locate him. I was luckily able to see his license plate number as the information he gave me was false. Second accident in less than a year, both not my fault. (A drunk driver hit me the first time this past summer). Moral of the story, make sure you ask for a persons license if involved in an accident as this man tried to get away. He was caught an hour later...

Ouch, good thing your dad is the dealer. I really don't like letting my dealer do the work.

More pictures

The front bumper also has to be replaced because my car hit the parked car infront of me.

We have an incredible body shop. It is actually where our old dealership used to be located. After moving, that entire facility became a state of the art body shop. Ill post pictures of my previous accident, the drunken driver one, which the body shop perfectly repaired. I could not even tell that my ML had been in an accident after looking at it inside and out. This is also considering that I am O.C.D. about my car and know where every scratch and detail are. One picture is of my car being painted in one of the paint booths

No need to get a new car when my car is perfectly fine and fixable.

The substitute

I just dropped off my car at the dealership and picked up a new ML500. The new body style is, in my opinion, amazing. Cant wait for my lease to be up on my ML.

I think that the exterior is awesome. But they REALLY screwed up the interior. The center console is weird, the area where the radio and buttons are feels too close to you, they decreased the angle of the windshield, so the windshield is smaller.. They also made the pillars too thick increasing 2 O'clock and 10 o'clock blind spots. In the front it feels a lot like the jeep grand cherokee, except with a lot more leg room and higher quality interior.. I am waiting for the ML63 to come in, going to test drive that, see how it is.

I personally am in love with the new ML. I have to disagree with your statement about the center console, buttons, blind spots and windshield. I feel as if the car is much bigger than the old body style. The only thing that I do not like, or am not used to, is the fact that there is not actual shift ***. I have a friend who has a jeep grand cheroke and can not make sense of how it resembles the new ML. The xenons and turning lights are simply incredible. Another thing that I love is the ambient lighting in the car. It accents every aspect of the ML's interior perfectly at night. Dont get me wrong, I still love my current ML.

yeah I agree, and I think the visability in the 164 is better than the 163. they moved the A pillars back or something. that car is sweet. super nice interior too, especially with the appearance package.

I think the W164 doesn't have the truck charm...

I test drove the W164 on one of the MB sponsored events on a dirt & race track. I felt it lacked the solid tank/truck feel of the W13.

Nice styling/interior/fit and finish, no doubt....but the sheet metal has gotten thinner than the W163, and I would doub't if its as sturdy as the W163...
