Is there an aftermarket replacement to these? What I thought to be a tranny that slipped(due to a large knock at take off) is actually a motormount that is loose, broken, etc... I am going to replace it but is there an aftermarket fix for this? I wanted to get something stronger then the factory one. Does Kleeman, renntech, brabus or anyone else make something I can buy? Also what are the costs for aftermarket ones and the factory mounts?

Any of you offroading guys change them?

Good question the ones on the ML suck i just had them replaced at 25,000miles along with the transmission mounts.

not sure if they are common but they broke on both my 00 and 02 ML.

I have mine replaced at least every 25K miles.

I put 50000 miles on my 98 and 45000 miles on my 02 ML500 and never needed to replace a mount. I believe its the driving style with a heavy foot and rapid acceleration, etc. That stresses the mounts. Drive normally and they are fine.

my 55 has just about 100kmiles on it, im not saying I dont hammer it but I am pretty good about not abusing it all the time... Im still going to look for maybe some stronger aftermarket ones
