Successful 2002 Sideview mirror install.

The whole installation will be documented in Adobe Acrobat and will be posted for all those interested. The 2002 fenders are ordered also and will be painted along with the mirrors at the same time.

Wink Interesting?

How are u able to add the side mirror turn signals on an old ML?? because i have a 99' ML 320 and i've been planning to changed the exterior or maybe make it look like the current 2003 ML. is it possible to changed the bumper, side mirror signals, and the bi-xenon headlights? how much did it cost you to convert the old ML to with the brav. kit in US dollars.

where do u go? to the dealer or some performance car shop?

I have done all the work myself.

Everything is interchangeable with pre2002 and 2002 models. The whole Brabus Kit I have which incluedes, front and rear bumpers, rims, exhaust, suspension, rear roof wing, and fender flares is around $10000 without painting. I added the 2002 signal mirrors, I have the 2002 front fenders which I have in my basement I am going to install so I won't have the sidemarker lights anymore because the mirror takes it's place. I ordered the 2002 bi-xenon lights from Germany (E-Code) which cost around $1750 because shipping was like $300, LoL. The 2002 lights are compatible with pre-2002 models, there are harnesses available from www.performanceproducts.com to adapt the new lights to the old harnesses. All in all the cost of exterior upgrades with painting and some minor body shop labor cost me about $14,000 USD. I also removed the roof racks, lowered the car about 1.5 inches, tinted front windows, upgraded brakes, and some other stuff. e-mail me at chris@esr-racing.com and i can help you out

Chris- Can you post up the instructions?

I did try to do this also to my 2001 ML but no one around me could and I winded up returning the 2002 oem mirrors.

Even with the harness adapter, how did you connect the turn signal? Is it connected parallel with the side markers with an externally exposed wire?

thanks!
