Starmark warranty

Starmark warranty
Just got my ML 2 weeks ago with the starmark warranty. How do I know if the dealer actually did the checks they mentioned? Should their be a report? Also within days of owning the car, when I start it I get a wrench icon above the odometer, at first it was plus 300 miles but it is now -400. If the starmark was done should I have that wrench icon?
I am bringing it in on the 19th. I ask this because I suspect the dealer did no such inspection

when the wrench comes on that means your car is due for service usually it tell you 1,000 miles before you need to take it in then it counts down. its no biggy to go into the negatives but i would get the car service in the next month, its just a basic service of oil change filter change and checks fluid levels. After they do this the wrnech should go away but you can check how many more miles till next service by hitting the odometer button and it will be like 7,000 -10,0000 miles between scheduled services if i remember right. It should of been done but starmark really only checks your car to make sure nothing major is wrong before they apply a warranty to it.

You are getting a wrench because you bought a car that need a service. According to your figures, it was due in 300 mi and is now 400 overdue. You should have negotiated that as part of the purchase
The starmark warranty should have a check list that you should have asked to see. My CLK had a MB warranty, I asked to see the check list and it showed the dealer replaced the battey, did a small leather repair and put on new tires as part of the reconditioning process. The FSS indicated 3800 miles to the next service (service A) so I negotiated a half price service as part of the purchase. Any services performed to correct anything found in the starmark inspection process should show up in a vehicle master inquiry.

It's never too late to ask for the inspection report and service history, as the current ower, you are entitled to it. If you think the dealer is a stand up place, mention the service issue and ask for some kind of deal. Worst they can do is say no, then you can take your business to another dealer.

Just got the car back from the dealership today. They did an "a" service and detailed the car (I was unhappy when I got it so they made it right)
No charge, free loaner. I am happy. The loaner was a c240. Very fun car.
The salesperson and my service rep were excellent but the dealership need to work on the details... I let them install my Nav and it thinks I am in the pacific ocean....
