You need to provide more info. What part of it doesn't fit? From whom did you acquire the part, are you sure it's the correct one? What year and model is your truck? Do you have third row seats installed? Give us all of the information you can, and maybe we can help.

Thanks for your help on this, my car is 2001 Ml 320 model. The problem seems to me that the the top piece with the clips that slide into the sides of the car is just too short by about 8 inches or so. The guy I bought it from said it was from his 2003 ML but did not specify model only that it would fit all models up to new model. I have allready tried to contact him but no reply as of yet.
Thanks

Thanks for help but still confused.
Hi, thanks for your replies on this, but unless the ML55 is a smaller car or has a smaller luggage compartment it would not explain the problem that I am having with this. Thanks again.

In the ML55, the spare tire sits upright in a hard cover on the left side of the cargo area. Here's a pic:
As you can see, the cargo cover for the ML55 is shorter to fit with the tire carrier.

Yes i inderstand that part, but the luggage net that i want to install is the one that goes from the roof of car to floor in boot, so that luggage, dogs etc stay in back and cant get over the rear seats. I will try and attach pic here. Thanks.

Is it possible
Do you think it likely that the ML55 is different on the inside as regards the size, i.e. could it be narrower than my ML320, it looks that way from the pic you posted or maybe its just the camera angle?. Thanks.

I also dont have any experience on these cargo guards, just throwing some ideas. Maybe those cargo guards come in different sizes; one to cover from behind the front seats and another one to cover from behind the rear seats?

Have thought of that and tried it but its stiil too short, it seems there are 2 different sizes, 1 that measures 41 inches at top part (approx) and 1 that measures 47 inches at top, so I guess ML55 must be different in this way. Not easy to find the official info on this. Thanks anyway for your help.

Wait a minute...
If the ML55 has the spare tire in that monstrous suitcase inside the trunk, then where the heck is the spare tire on the ML500?
Did they equip it with shoddy run-flat tires, and skip the spare wheel entirely like BMW is starting to do?
