Wheel Bolt Length?

If you screw too long of a wheel bolt in will it hit something? I replaced the wheels on my ML with wheels that have a thicker bolt seat so less threads engage, if I replace my stock bolts with longer ones is there any danger of hitting anything inside the hub?

You should check with a mechanic there should be a certain amount of turns on the bolts. I don’t think that if there to long to be a problem (not sure) but if there to short and not enough threads latched in you can lose a wheel!

Thanks ///AMG55,
I found that too long is OK in the front, but too long will hit the e-brake shoe side in the rear, I adjusted my bolt lengths accordingly.
