![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I just installed a DVD Nav system into my '03 ML350. No problems installing, was a breeze and took less than 30 minutes. After turning on the MCS, the Navigation screen comes on then a message saying "Insert DVD ROM" I inserted the 2002.1 DVD and nothing happens, the message just sits there. Anyone have any ideas, I purchased off of eBay and the seller is willing to do anything to help. Is it possibly the wrong DVD or maybe the unit is non functional? I had originally taken the unit to my Mercedes Dealer for installation, they told me that this is the incorrect unit and is for an older ML such as '99-01. The unit came from an '03 ML so I am assuming it should work in mine, unless the seller has lied. Thanks in advance for your help.

All units thru 02 were CD's, not DVD. Odds are you have the correct unit. You could have an incorrect DVD. It must be an ML DVD and not for another MB vehicle. You could also have a bad unit, bad CD or perhaps an install problem. hard to diagnose thru this forum.

The install is simple, matter of connecting power to one slot and only one other connection. Do you know if a newer DVD such as 2004.1 is compatible with older DVD units? Thanks.
