My dad loves the ML's but he recently bought a X5 after careful consideration and price comparing. Personally I've ridden in both and I found the X5 to be the better car. What do you guys think of the two? not to offend any diehard ML owners just wana know ur opinion and comparession hehe pros and cons

Is no doubt these two car are supreme but again nothing perfect...
I prefer ML430 simply cz of spacious trunk, std AWD, ALOT TORQUE,
X5 has small trunk, better interior design, high performance car...
These two are different and to believed you have to drive it....

The X5 is more of a preformance SUV, where as the ML is more of a utility SUV (IMO).

I like the looks of the X5, but the cargo space is too small.

Try putting three sets of golf clubs in the back of the X5! I'll keep my ML.

I have both. I drive an '05 X5, and my wife drives an '05 ML500. Two very different vehicles. The ML is great for hauling stuff, and for towing. The X5 is more fun to drive on twisty roads, and around town. I like them both, but for very different reasons.
