Radar detector hardwire
I am planning on hardwiring a radar detector in a ML500 and want to know if anyone has the wiring layout for the roof console above the rearview mirror. I need to find an ignition switched hot line. If someone knows it would be a great help or else i'll need to search for it with a voltmeter. Thanks

Don't think I would fool around in area of the mirror. Too much electronics that could suffer from any sray RF emitted by the detector. Some of the stuff in there are sensors for the anti theft, mirror control, rain sensor, trip computer and more. I would co to the power on something like the cigarette lighter on the consol which is ignition switched.
