BAS/ESP, ETS, ABS, and CEL lights on

ML320 2001.

These three lights are on. At times the lights will go out, then they come back on.

The engine runs fine and does not hesitate at all. I've been told the CEL light may be a seperate issue from the others.

About 3 months ago the BAS/ESP, ETS lights were coming on and I replaced the brake switch and it resolved the issue.

Thank you for your time/help

Try the brake switch again. The CEL is likely a separate issue and the only way to tell is to have the computer read out preferably by the Star diagnostic system.

When the BAS/ESP light comes on, that also means you need new brakes, my brake sensor never came on, I had the BAS/ESP light on, went to dealer, needed new rotors and pads.

When the brake light switch came on only the BAS/ESP and ETS lights were on. The ABS light was not.

Now all three lights are on, not just the two.
