removal keys

Ok this is probably the most stupidest question ever.... but for my ML320 (2001) i got the stereo removal keys... popped them in and fixed an antenna that had come loose. So I slide the unit back in.... but i cant remove the removal keys!!! Is there any special way to do this? or am i missing something here?

I suspect you remove the keys before you slide the sterio back in........so just pull it out and take the keys out then just slide the sterio back in...

If you look on the sides of the radio where the keys clip in you will notice it is a spring mechanism. Use either your fingernail or a small screwdriver to 'release' the key and then remove. Then it is simply a matter of sliding the radio back in until it locks into place. Make sure the wiring harness has some play in it and is not binding behind the unit. Do not force the radio back in.

You don't need ANY tools to remove the tools - look on the side and it'll have a spring detent in the immediate vicinity, depress these on either side and voila!
