Anyone know of the BEST Brake pads to get?
Ok folks, I've got the worst squeal ever on my ML430...and this was even after replaced rotors, sensors (not sure if guy put brake paste on for me)...and this was with original MB brake pads.
So I want to know which brake pads to get, and that is price wise, ZERO squeal and whether ceramic brakes or regular...
So any brands or suggestions welcome! I'm looking for the best in price and quality plus performance!

All the V8 ML's have brake squeal problems. You can minimize it by using the latest part number MB pads. They helped considerably with the 02 I recently traded on an 06. With the latest pads I had only a slight squeal when they were cold after that quiet.

Brake Pads
I had a lot of trouble with the pads making noise, especially when the weather got cold. I changed over to Rotex Gold and the problem stopped. They are a different kind of pad made from Kevlar or something, and they do not turn the wheels black. Braking seems at least the same, but no noise. I have not put them on the rears yet so they still make noise. It's not warm enough to do that sort of work here yet, but when it is I'll change out the rears too.
