Installing DVD into 02 Video Entertainment
I just removed my VCP Player in my 2002 Mercedes ML320, it came with the Video Entertainment System. I hate using those auxillary ports where the vents are. I bought a Inverter for the power which I hook my PS2/or DVD Player so I can ofcourse plug and play. I took out my VCP and want to replace it with a DVD. Im looking for DVD Players that have the same wires needed that are behind the VCP. Besides the auxillary ports under the passanger vent, I tried the auxillary ports behind the VCP, but couldnt change source to make it work.
Will this fit and be a good replacement for my VCP?

If not, or if anything, is there another way to hook up my DVD player and VCP and the same time (Using home DVD Player that I stick under other passanger seat and use inverter). When I hit Video Source on the remote, it has VCP, DVD, and Auxillary. How would I hook up my home DVD player, or the one I buy off ebay to make it work on the "DVD" source.

You are crazy mate ! Get yourself ther orginal OEM DVD Player ! The Harness has the attachment already there! VCR (I think red), and DVD (I think this one is blue)!.... The OEM DVD Player has mounts & gets screwed under the seat (A real easy retrofit).
The German ebay is selling them (new) right now for 124 - 149 Euros!.
I just bought a second one for a BW member and sent it to him because he wanted to update his VCR to the DVD Player.
The ML OEM VES system is designed for parrallel use of the DVD & the VCR Player .....
