Using Verizon V710 Phone in 02 ML Help!

Iv been searching threads but have found nothing regarding the procedure and accessories needed inorder to use my Verizon Wireless Motorola V710 Phone in my 2002 Mercedes ML. Do I have to buy a MHI Bluetooth Interface Module inorder to use this? I want to just simple be able to connected my phone to my MCS Screen, dial the number and be able to talk or atleast hear people through my car. When I click I THINK IT SAID SOMETHING LIKE Phone not installed or no service, something like that.

Thank in Advance!

You need the normal cell phone kit first which allows you to plug in your phone and that connects to the MCS. The new bluetooth device plugs into the normal phone kit so instead of plugging your phone into a cradle you can keep it in your pocket ect.

I cant think of a place off the top of my head that would sell the OME phone kit but I am sure another member or possibly a sponsor might have them. But if you bought the parts at the dealer and did it your self I am guessing the total price would be about $600 +-$100. My dealer mails me coupons for 10% off parts and other offers so you might want to check and see if they have any coupons.

To install the phone kit it should only take you an hour or less depended on if you do a lot of DIY work on your car. But make sure to pick up some MCS keys it will make life a lot easier.

Your personal phone wont work, it needs to be a Mercedes phone. $1000 for the kit, and at least that for the MB phone. you can go with the kit and then get a MIK box which will allow a non MB phone to work. Blue tooth is a dorky setup
