Ml320 1999 Main Oil seal
Hi everyone, Just registered as about to buy a Ml320 from a garage. There is a lot of oil down the front and found out that it is the front main oil seal. He said he cant get it fixed for a week and said its alright to drive round in it. Just about to do over 1000 miles , other than leaking oil everywhere I assume it wouldnt be safe driving what are your thoughts and how big a job is it ? Thanks in advance

Front seal is not as big a job as the rear seal. Have not heard of this being a problem though. Its quite possible that its some other leak like a valve cover thats dripping down in that area. All the ML's that I have had never had any oil leaks.
