Retrofit Trip computer to UK ML 270 CDI
Hi All,
First post to the forums, they are certainly very informative! I have a UK ML 270 CDI which has no trip computer fitted, my local dealer can supply one for £170 but will it just slot straight in and will the connections be in place? I want to fit this myself to save on the labour costs...
Any help appreciated!

In a nutshell, yes. HOWEVER. be careful because the unit dealership is selling you does not come with outer shell (The one with a cutout for LCD window). Your existing black plastic face can be cut but I have seen fellows ruin it while cutting and then having an ugly hole where you can see lcd sides or worse the circuit board through it. See if dealership can get you the window piece.
Also search the forum for trip computer. you will find several posts that explain installatio, and the lcd window issue in detail. My trip computer is sitting on the kitchen table for at least 4 months. Until I figure out the window issue, I am not going to do the "ghetto" mod
