Buying '02 ML320, need advice
Hi, I'm buying an '02 ML320 and was wondering what should I look for? I doesn't come with navi system, how easy to retrofit one? Are the 3rd row seats worth the trouble of looking for one that has them?

Adding Nav is easy. But you have to buy a DVD unit which you can get off ebay for about $800 I have yet to find them cheaper then you need the Nav DVD which prices vary. But make sure if you do add Nav that you get the DVD navigation since you are looking at an 02+..
I had 3rd row seats in my 2000 ML and they where not worth it. But having that in high school was a plus since I could pack more 17-18 year old girls into the car, but they where small and even then they sat cross-legged. So dont plan on having anyone over 5'5 sit in them, they would of been great if they where facing the other way at least people would have more leg room. Anyways they take up to much space and add about 100lbs weight and end up being another thing that rattles.
Basically you want to look for a low milage 02 model and I would not buy one without a warranty. I would suggest getting a star mark pre owned if you can... But like all cars you want to check and make sure all work was done at the dealer I know I keep all my paper work and I would not buy a car that someone has no paper work with, if they have the paper work spend some time and look at what items where fixed or replace.. You dont want an ML that has been in for the same problem more than 3 times. But with 2002 + you will run into less problems which I am sure you have heard about but they mostly affected the 98-01 cars even then my 2000 ML was flawless.
