Question Winter time help!

Just bought a 2000 ML320E with a SkyRoof. Just wondering should I have this this "oil" underspayed for winter, or just leave it as is?

Darren

P.S. this is my first post

I have done this and find it beneficial, I believe most people don't bother.

It will depend a lot on how much salt they pollute the roads with in your area, plain water and grit is OK.

BMW FTW
If you can get a pressure washer and just spray off the bottom of your car every week during the winter. Thats what my brother did when he lived back east with a ML and I was surprised that his car had no undercarriage rust or damage from the salt.

Your problem will not be the underside it will be the Skyroof. If ir hasn't broken it will and it will be expensive. Thats why Skyroof ML's are lots less expensive on the used market

No so easy!! They usually break open or partially open and jam. Usually impossible to close. Repairs can run close to half the value of your ML. When I ordered one of my ML's I wanted one and my dealer refused to sell me one based upon his experience. I assume you purchased used. Used values of these Skyroof equipped ML's is far less than those with the std smaller sunroof. At dealer auctions Skyroof ML's rarely even sell. Good Luck!!
