Hi,
I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the clogged AC water outlet.

BUT --- If you have been driving in the rain ,most probably it is the sunroof drain that is blocked.

new news, there a flap on the inside drivers side fender (right were your baby toe would be on your left foot) to the upper front of the hood release that is super wet and it seams that the water is coming from this area or upward. Any idea what that flap is?

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply - I live in India and we have a huge time gap.
I had the local MB service center remove the blockage - I think they do it by pouring water with slight pressure to remove any dirt. If the water is coming inside then it is a possibility that the drain pipe is broken or dislocated.
I think this is something you can do yourself provided you know what to look for.

Thats the problem, I don't know where to start looking....It can't be blocked can it, becasue the water run right thru to the inside, if it was blocked would it not go thru?

UPDATE: OK found the disconected tube under the dash near the foot brake. Looks like the tube takes a 90 degree turn and the sunroof tub is smaller than the one exiting the firewall. My Question is do I just connect them like (male/female) or is there a missing elbow fiting? (I will post pixs soon)?

Does someone have the online parts scematics of this area?

i has the same problem. I ended up using superglue and silicone sealant to make sure the pipe did not become disconnected from the elbow again

2002 ML 320 Sunroof Drain Tube

I've read through the forum on the possibility of the sunroof drain tube coming disconnected. My wife's vehicle is experiencing wet floor boards on both the drive and passenger sides. I used my compressor to blow are in the right and left drain tubes and and I could hear air being released by the wheel wells. However, I can't locate the drain tube exit. Does anyone have any pictures and/or an explanation of how to check the elbow I've read about in this forum. I would like to confirm that the elbow is completely sealed even though I can hear the blown air beneath the vehicle. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem a few years ago.

Solved it by using duck tape to make the sunroof seal better. I ran black thin strips of duck tape around the roof to build up the seal.

That was the problem, the felt sealer running around the sunroof was no longer a tight fit

I just tried some weedeater lines but the lines won't go too far (about 2-3 feet). probably I didn't use the right lines. Anyway, pressured air did the work. It took only one shot and the drain was opened up. This is just another way to get it fixed. Thanks for your help!
