Looking for OBD reader
Ive read many things about the obd reader. i am curious to find out exactly what it does? what else do you need to read the codes it that it reads out? does it need anything else? and is it model specific? and also WHERE CAN I GET ONE!

http://www.scangauge.com/ and http://www.aeroforcetech.com/ can display a lot info, much like having extra gauges. I have the SGII placed on the dash behind the inspection/registration sticker and leave it on MPH (to show real speed with my taller tires), MPG calcs, Intake AirTemp and WaterTemp. And of course it clears codes. I can get them for you cheaper than their sites but can't advertise that here.

Scan tool, usb to laptop
I was looking on ebay at getting a cable for the OBD port. There seems to be a few protocols. The usb cable i was looking at specifically stated that it was a ISO Protocol USB OBD-II Interface, and would not work with CAN-bus cars.? does anoyone know if the ML is just ISO??? or does it use the CAN-bus protocol as well???
