radio static

i have an ml320 and my radio has too much staic it just started happing i dont no y this is

i wanna no if i could but an antana or somthing-

Not 100% certain but I believe on the ML its in the rear hatch.

is it on AM or FM...mine has terrible static in the AM band that sometimes will go away for a little while when I put the brakes on..what is that about? My FM is good all the time.
