It is required by Federal Law that all 1996 and newer vehicles (cars and light trucks) sold in the United States and Canada must be OBD2 compliant and this includes all Domestic, Asian and European vehicles.

So any OBD2 Code Scanner is designed to work on all OBD2 compliant vehicles should work for my SUV. I do not need a professional one because if the problem is too big I have to take it to Dealor. I am going to buy one from eby, Just search OBD2 or ODB II and then you can use it to repair your car. Otherwise, you should prepare to be eaten alive by your car dealor.
