Looking to get a ML

Hi All,
I have found a '99 ML 430 with 118K miles for about $11K. So the question now becomes if this is a good deal or if I should walk away? Anything I should be aware of with this MY, any pitfalls?

Thanks,

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
Keep looking. Its a 99 which is the first year of the 430. Plus, the ml underwent a big overall for 2000, then in 2002. And the miles are high. Keep shopping, there are some amazing deals to be had on MLs.

Also, there is a sticky thread above that has all of the things to be careful with when looking at an ML. Good luck.

1999 ML430
I have a 99 ML430 w/265,000 troublefree miles. It's a great car and would recommend it highly. Of course that comes with a caveat. You MUST thoroughly check out the history of the vehicle. Probably the most important check is oil changes over the years, preferably with synthetic 0W40.

The problems that the ML's have had over the years can actually help as a negotiating tool for a lower price. 11,000.00 sound pretty reasonable IF its in excellent condition with good history, but I would definately offer considerablely less than that.....Post some pictures !!

Thanks,
If your buying from a dealer, have them run a VMI (vehicle master inquirey) for you. This will have all the work performed while under factory warranty. This should give you an idea as to how the truck was maintained. My 2 cents.
