03 ML500 Factory Warranty - Please HELP

Hello All

I am a new owner of a 03, ML500, 35K miles on it. It has 2 more months of factory warranty left. Since I just bought the vehicle and not familiar with this type at all - just wondering what kinda stuffs I should be concerned with and make a list, going to the dealer for the last warranty work.

As I just purchased it, everything seems to be working but not sure what kind of problems I might be facing after a few months (after the warranty period)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Russ

Great list. Does the warranty change brakes? I think my breake light came on a few times and it might need replacing soon. Also the Low Range thing doesn't work. When I press it, the light flashes 4 times and goes away, even when I was parked, not moving at all.

I am not sure how Mercedes warranty works, can I just give them a list to have them check or I will have to have problems and explain them the problem before they will even check.

Thanks for your help

No, warranty or the free maint does not Cover Brake pads or Rotors. As for the low range, ML must be in neutral and you must have your foot on the brake when pushing the switch. If you do not do both of these things you will get the same reaction you are seeing. Best thing to do is READ THE MANUAL.

Thank you guys - low range worked. I didn't get any owner's manual come with it.

One more question I have is, my DVD navigation version is 2002, and i want ti upgradet to the latest version, 2006.2, Can I just get a burnt copy from smewhere and put it on? or Dealer has to reprogram anything?

I am not certain when the chageover from CD to DVD for the nav took place so I am not certain which one you have. I do know that the 02 I had used CD's. My current 06 is a DVD as is my 05 E Class. In either case the dealer will have the most current usually in stock at the parts dept and no programming is required, just insert it after removing the old one. Burned copies in many cases do not work and its illegal. They are not expensive to buy and do not buy one from E Bay.
