Can I use 5w-30

I accidentally bought Mobile 1 5w-30 at Costco, they didn't have 5w-40. Should I still use it?

Thanks!

I would still use it. Just keep an eye on the oil level if your worried about it and get the correct type next time. Should not be a problem. My 2 cents.

ml320 & c240
I will go with OEM recommendation especially if your vehicle is still under warranty. BTW the last numbers on the engine oil is important, if you were to use 0w 40 you may use 5w 40. I will not substitute. In a much older engine I might go from a 5w 30 to a 5w 40 but not the other way around.
