With the introduction of the new LATCH car seat system, I'm wondering if anyone has tried using it in a 2001 ML320. My understanding is that the LATCH system works with a strap that goes over the seat and hooks onto the floor behind - well the rear floor does have those nifty eyelets that even have an image of a car seat on them - are these designed for use with the LATCH system or some proprietary MB design?

Not trying to be daft on this or overlook the obvious and appreciate any input.

I DONT BELIVE THE 2001 ML HAS THE LATCH SYSTEM,I BELIVE IT IS A NEW FRETURE IN 2002.
THE COVERS ARE FOR THE TETHER TO MOST BABY SEATS
