Question Bosch Spark Plugs...???

I am interested in replacing my plugs this weekend as its about that time and I have some free time... I went to 3 auto parts stores and NONE of them have any listings for bosch plugs for any ML350s. However they have listings for every other mercedes. Are the dealer plugs any special for the ML350? diff lengths specs etc? I cross referenced the dealer bosch plug # and there are no listings. Any ideas? Please help as I dont know why no one lists bosch plugs for a ML350, but for every other benz. THANKS!

Go ahead and use any other brand. Bosch is the reason for 90% of the problems caused on the ML.. Whenever I had a part fail 90% of the time it was from Bosch.

Do a search in this section for spark plugs and most members usually put some platinum plug or something I cant think of the brand off the top of my head.

Thats a good point!!!

Go with Denso spark plugs, they seem like the popular one to go with now a days.

I hear ya. Hell, if MB stopped used Bosch as a vendor for many components, MB reliability would skyrocket!

If your ML Owner's Manual is like my GL Owner's manual, it *only* lists NGK plugs for your vehicle. Why not just get those?

BTW, the notion of finding Mercedes parts at an "auto parts store" is ludicrous.

Picked up NGKs today

I bought NGK V-power plugs today for less than $40 and plan to put those in. They offered Iridium, Platinum, and regular resistor and I bought the regular type plugs. I haven't yet subscribed to the "+2 and +4-type plugs are better theory." I have used NGKs in several autos in the past with excellent results, including supercharged high output applications. I can't help but think there may be a reason that MB switched from Bosch to NGK in their user manuals.

I've never had problems with the Bosch plugs. I use the +4 platinums on my C320 and +2 platinums on my ML. Just changed the plugs in my ML 2 weeks ago. The driver side plug near the back is the toughest to replace. it's tight back there. You'll need several extensions and a swivel extension.

Good luck!
