ML side stepping, what's that mean?

Got a MY 00 320 and lately when the wheels on one side of the vehicle hit a bump it feels like the truck is side stepping. However when both hit it feels normal. The ride does not feel particularly rough compared to how it used to so I'm a bit confused. I've looked underneath the truck and don't see any grease leaking from the ball joints but I suppose that doesn't mean they are not bad. Can anyone help diagnose the issue?

whatz the mileage? Is it lowered?

Could be worn shocks or bushing. I played with height setting in the front and notice that bump steer gets worse as the car is lowered but the ride improves slightly at the same time.
