ML 320 brake pedal travel question

The brake pedal travel on my ML 320 is excessive and when I hold the pedal it will sink to the floorboard. The rotors and pads have just been replaced with no improvments. After reviewing the threads is it possiable that the master cyl. seal needs replacement?
