Under warranty?

I have a question concerning service my vehicle is receiving under the Starmark warranty. The Cats and MAF are bad and being replaced and the service advisor has said that the plugs may need to be replaced (I doubt he even pulled one to get a reading).

As the plugs may be fouled out due to the MAF failure (a warranty covered item), would the plugs be covered as well since they are scheduled to last 100K (according to MBUSA) and may have failed prematurely as a result of the MAF failure? I have seen mixed instances of service advisors covering this in the past and mine does not want to cover this repair, so I was curious what the "official" ruling is regarding this service.

Thanks in advance!

I doubt if the plugs would be covered under warranty as they are a real consumable. Yes they are suggested to be changed at 100K but they are not warranted to go that far. They are not expensive I would not push it and labor to do the job is only about 300 to 350 bucks. Remember they are also old by calender time as well.

Thanks, I bought NGK plugs (as MBUSA advises in their newer models) today for ~$40 and finished the job in my driveway in about 1 1/2 hours. Was not really a tight squeeze at all compared to some other cars I've done. The boots came off very easily and the plugs had a tan color with some of the electrode worn away, so I am glad I did the job even if they were not fouled out. The gap had increased due to wear from 0.039 to about 0.048 or so. Thanks for all the help and I appreciate the advice.
