I'm taking this into the shop, but hoping you folks can shed some light on what's going on... It's my wife's car and I hardly drive it.

It started Tuesday.
When braking (most of the time not all) the BRAKE and BATTERY sensors flash, and sometime it sounds a beep beep noise.

Brake fluid levels okay under the hood.

I suspect time for new brakes again.
Got new ones added in winter 2005. This is an ML500.

Hope someone can reveal the mystery to me.

well maybe you need to replace your battery.

 

Yep. New battery did the trick, not to mention rotors and pads.
