Navigation CD
Just a quick question if anyone knows the answer I recently broke my Nav CD. I was looking on ebay and are the mercedes unique to each model and or year I have an 2002 ML500 do I have to find a 2002 ML500 CD?

I don't know if they're downward compatible but any 2002+ CD should work. What will not work is a CD from another MB model. I just purchased a 2007 CD for my 05 500 and I would be more than glad to sell you my 05 CD for less than you'd get anywhere. But also consider that for just $200, you could get the 2007 CD from NAVTEQ. Your choice.

I think 2002 are CD's and 2003+ are DVD's. I've tried the CD's in the DVD nav and it does not work. I don't think your 05 dvd will work in his 2002 but I'm in need of a disc. Please email me at jimmmyk@gmail.com and let me know what you want for the 05 dvd disc. I've also email you from benzworld also. Thanks.

2002s had CD based navigation systems...
PM me at mihir.dalal_at_comcast.net if you are interested in sharing the cost. You will not only get to replace the broken CD, you will get the latest maps..
