ML500 - changed brake pads - please help!

I just put new pads on my ml500. I put everything back how it was, but lost a decent amount of brake fluid in the process. I looked in the reservoir and it doesn't appear to be too low. When I do the test drive, the brake pedal drops to the floor, the brake light comes on, and I barely have any stopping power. I did spray some brake quiet on the pads too (don't know if that makes a difference). PLEASE HELP!

ok... i thought all was well. as I drove to work, the brake pedal dropped to the floorboard. I am now attempting to bleed the brake lines. On my way home from work, the BAS ESP light came on. any ideas?

You may have air in the system. Bleed the brakes then disconnect your battery for a while to see if the ESP\BAS light still stays on.

how did you lose the fluid? If fluid can get out, air can get in.
